This promised land

Imagine, if you will, that you make it past the unforgiving storm and arrive on foot to "paradise". It will not look as pristine as you envisioned it in your spiritual ascensions. Gates would be toppled from weathering the elements for untold eons. The mountain itself would be extinguished until you rekindle it with your soul. Without your scarf or magic in the air to aid your travel, you still have a long ways to go before reaching your destination. A very different end to the Journey, indeed.
